Who we are

Keepscan (the “app”) and this website are provided by Truetech Solutions (SMC-Private) Limited (“Truetech Solutions”, “we”, “us”), a company registered with the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan. You can reach us at info@truetechsol.org.

The documents you scan

Pages you scan, photos you import from your gallery, PDFs you import, and the names and types you give your documents are stored in the app's private storage on your phone. Other apps cannot read that storage. We do not operate a server for Keepscan, and the app never uploads your documents to us. We cannot see, access or recover them.

Your documents leave the app only when you choose to move them:

• Save to phone writes a PDF to your Downloads folder (Downloads/Keepscan) or images to your gallery (Pictures/Keepscan), or to a location you pick. Other apps on your phone with access to those folders can then read the files.
• Share hands the file to the app you choose, such as email, messaging or cloud storage. What happens next is governed by that app's own privacy policy.
• Back up documents writes every document, including any recognised text, into a single .zip file saved where you choose, for example Google Drive. The backup file is not encrypted, so store it somewhere you trust.

Deleting a document in Keepscan removes it and its pages from the app. Uninstalling the app deletes everything in its private storage. Files you already saved or shared elsewhere are not affected.

No account, no analytics, no ads

Keepscan has no sign-up or login. It contains no analytics, advertising, crash-reporting or tracking SDKs, and we do not collect usage statistics, device identifiers or your location.

Text recognition

Keepscan Pro can copy text from a page and search inside your documents. The text is read on your phone by Google's ML Kit text recognition, using a model bundled inside the app. Your page images and the recognised text are not sent to us or to Google for this. The recognised text is stored with the document in the app's private storage.

As described in Google's ML Kit data disclosure, the ML Kit library may send Google limited technical information, such as device and app details and performance metrics of the recognition feature, to help Google maintain the library. This does not include your images or their text.

Purchases

Keepscan Pro is a one-time in-app purchase handled entirely by Google Play. We never receive your payment details. The app asks Google Play whether your Google account owns Pro, so Pro can be restored on a new phone, and remembers the answer on your device so Pro works offline. Google's handling of your purchase is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Permissions

• Camera, to scan pages with Keepscan's own scanner. Camera frames are processed on the phone and only the pages you capture are kept. The camera is optional: you can import from your gallery instead.
• Biometric, for the optional App lock (Pro). Your fingerprint or face is checked by Android itself; Keepscan only learns whether the check succeeded.

Keepscan does not request access to your storage, contacts or location. Photos and PDFs are opened through Android's own pickers, which give the app access only to the files you select.

Other data on your phone

• Your signature. If you draw a signature to sign PDFs (Pro), it is saved in the app's private storage so you only draw it once.
• Settings, such as theme, default save size, App lock and whether you own Pro, are stored on your phone.
• Password-protected PDFs. Passwords you set are used to encrypt the PDF (AES-256) and are not stored by the app. We cannot recover a forgotten password.

Device backups

Keepscan opts out of Android's automatic cloud backup and device-to-device transfer, so your documents are not copied to Google's backup servers without your knowledge. To move documents to another phone, use Back up documents and Restore from a backup in Settings.

When you contact us

If you email us, for example with Send feedback in the app, we receive your email address, your message and anything you attach. The feedback email includes the app version in its subject line. We use this only to reply to you and to improve Keepscan, and we do not share it with anyone else.

This website

keepscan.truetechsol.org does not use cookies, analytics or third-party scripts. Like any website, it is delivered through hosting and network providers (currently Vercel and Cloudflare), which process technical data such as IP addresses in their server logs to deliver the site and protect it from abuse.

Children

Keepscan is a general-purpose tool and is not directed at children. Because the app does not collect personal data, we do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone, including children.

Your choices and rights

Because your documents and settings are stored only on your phone, you are in control of them: you can view, export or delete them in the app at any time, or remove everything by uninstalling it. We do not hold a copy that we could provide or delete for you. If you have emailed us and want that correspondence deleted, write to info@truetechsol.org.

Changes to this policy

If Keepscan starts handling data differently, we will update this page and the date at the top before the change reaches the app.
